North Dakota & Iowa Joins the EMS Compact

The Interstate Commission for EMS Personnel Practice welcomes the states of North Dakota and Iowa to the EMS Compact.

Governor Doug Burgum signed HB 1337, The Recognition of EMS Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact, on April 1, 2019. North Dakota was the 17th state to enact the EMS Compact.

On May 8, 2019, Governor Kim Reynolds of Iowa signed the Recognition of EMS Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact Act, making Iowa the 18th state to pass the legislation.
