Quick Verify EMS Status
Quick Verify
Quick Verify displays an individual’s Home State license details (level, expiration, status, issuing state) and their Compact Privilege to Practice status for EMS clinicians licensed in one or more Member States. You will need the individual’s National EMS ID to search.
Note: Some Member States are still in the process of integrating with the National EMS Coordinated Database (NEMSCD). For the current connection status, see the NEMSCD status page. A qualified clinician may still hold a valid Privilege to Practice even if their record is not yet visible in NEMSCD.
What is a National EMS ID?
- A unique 12-digit identifier formatted as
####-####-####, issued to all EMS professionals by the National Registry. - Find it by logging in to your National Registry account at nremt.org or by contacting your State EMS Office. Learn more here.
Troubleshooting a “Not Found” Result
- Confirm the EMS ID is correct, including dashes.
- Allow up to 24 hours after a state updates its data for changes to appear.
- Check your Home State’s integration status on the NEMSCD status page.
- If the state is integrated and the record is still missing, contact your State EMS Office to verify the primary record.
