South Dakota Codified Laws § 34-11C-1. Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact (REPLICA).

The EMS Compact enables licensed EMS personnel to cross state borders using a privilege to practice in other EMS Compact member states without obtaining a separate license. Marty Link was seated as South Dakota’s Commissioner. 

About South Dakota's EMS System
In South Dakota, the REPLICA legislation was signed into law by South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on March 25, 2021.  The EMS Compact legislation went into effect on July 1, 2021.

National EMS Coordinated Database Status
  •   yellow-mark.pngSouth Dakota is in process of integrating with NEMSCD; EMT licensure information is connected to the database. AEMT & Paramedic licensure data is in process of being connected to NEMSCD, although there is no anticipated completion date yet.
