About Alaska’s EMS System
EMS Compact Legislation
In Alaska, the REPLICA legislation (HB 110) became law on June 22, 2026, as Chapter 28, SLA 2026, making Alaska the 28th state to enact the EMS Compact. The law is effective September 20, 2026.
Implementation Status
Alaska’s status with the EMS Compact is delayed, pending implementation in Alaska, including appointment of a Commissioner and integration with the National EMS Coordinated Database. The Privilege to Practice is not yet active for Alaska.
